The Yamaha MT-07 has revolutionized the naked bike segment since its introduction in 2014. This hyper-naked motorcycle combines aggressive styling with practical performance, making it a favorite among riders worldwide.
At the heart of the MT-07 is a 689cc CP2 parallel-twin engine that produces 73.4 horsepower and 50.4 lb-ft of torque. The engine delivers strong low-end torque and smooth power delivery, making it equally at home in city traffic or on winding roads.
The MT-07's styling is aggressive and modern, with sharp lines, LED lighting, and a compact, muscular appearance. The bike features a 17-inch front wheel and 140mm rear tire, providing excellent handling and stability. The riding position is upright and comfortable, with the handlebars positioned for easy control.
Electronics include Yamaha's Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) system, which provides smooth throttle response and three riding modes: Standard, A (Active), and B (Comfort). The TFT display shows all essential information and can be customized to the rider's preferences.
For 2023, Yamaha has updated the MT-07 with improved suspension, better brakes, and enhanced electronics. The bike continues to offer excellent value for money and remains one of the most popular motorcycles in its class.
The MT-07 has inspired a whole range of MT models and has shown that naked bikes can be both practical and exciting to ride.
